Byzantium Saffron takes inspiration from the Muda della Tana e di Romania.The Muda della Tana e di Romania sailed alongside the Greek coasts, calling at the cities of Athens and then onto Constantinople and the Black Sea. Amongst the main raw materials traded in this area, particularly important to the Venetian market were musk, nutmeg, saffron, and benzoin resin extracted from the storax plant.
