Byzantium Saffron takes inspiration from the Muda della Tana e di Romania.The Muda della Tana e di Romania sailed alongside the Greek coasts, calling at the cities of Athens and then onto Constantinople and the Black Sea. Amongst the main raw materials traded in this area, particularly important to the Venetian market were musk, nutmeg, saffron, and benzoin resin extracted from the storax plant.

The Mystic Incense fragrance is inspired by the Muda d'Egitto.The Muda d’Egypt, from Venice, coasted Dalmatia and the Peloponnese. From there it headed towards Crete and Cyprus before ending in the crusader states, especially in the cities of Tyre and Acre, and towards the Fatimid Caliphate in the Egyptian cities of Damietta and Alexandria. Here the Frankincense Route began. Raw materials such as frankincense, smelly cyperus, myrrh, jasmine, white nigella, etc came from this Muda.
