The story of this fragrance starts around Lake Como. A body of water that has always fascinated us because it is far deeper even than the sea where we live, yet surrounded by spectacular mountains. In fact, the lake is situated in a basin surrounded by forest-covered mountains, and has a most varied and perfumed landscape. Along its shores there are pastures, woods, rugged and imposing rocks, picturesque villages overlooking the water and beautiful villas with parks and gardens. The central part of the lake, where all three of its branches meet, is the mildest point but with the broadest landscape. We loved reaching this crossroads of water in the boat and seeing the best views over the promontory of Bellagio, on northern Grigna overlooking the Valsassina and, on clear days, the upper basin with the Alps in the background. The most familiar and beloved place has always been the Lecco branch that has a more rugged and picturesque panorama, with the southern Grigna, of dolomitic origin, and the Corni di Canzo rocks that, going down to the lake, form picturesque bays and inlets. Our favourite retreat was the source of the Fiumelatte, described by Leonardo da Vinci. It was already known as "Fiumelaccio" in the Codex Atlanticus by Leonardo da Vinci who was very intrigued by this phenomenon. This stream that intrigued Leonardo da Vinci, had bewitched us children because of its feature that is unique in the world: water flows in the stream intermittently from March 25 until October 7. The water comes from a mysterious cave full of scents that would be impossible to verbalise and it would be an understatement it attempted. A place where the alchemy of the perfumer came to life before anyone else where. The rock of the cave itself was perfumed. After the period when the stream flows intermittently, you can see its channel that seems to be a real lunar
The beauty of this celestial mystery gives its name to our creation, which opens with a bouquet of citrus fruits, where echoes of Calabrian Bergamot are combined with the delicate touch of the Ylang Ylang flower from the Philippines and the strength of Bulgarian Rose. This head, intense and decisive, lies on a complex and effervescent bed, where the freshness of Indian Black Pepper is strengthened by a precious blend of two Oudhs with different characteristics. The first is from Laos and the second from Cambodia. These are softened by the hypnotic persuasiveness of Nocturnal Jasmine and the extremely rare Himalayan Peony, giving the composition an echo of mystery and seduction. The heart is founded on a complex and articulated base, where the sweetness of Caramel and Madagascan Vanilla are embraced by the intense fragrance of Indian Sandalwood and combined with the seductive aura of the famous Terenzi Library blend of Ambergris and Musk. Wirtanen is a creation with a strong and mysterious character that takes time to be appreciated. Nevertheless it has the capacity to seduce with the sweetness of a caress, thanks to the balance of Oudh woods and caramel. A journey towards the beauty of the infinite cosmos.

During a journey of discovery of the most beautiful places in Italy and, above all, of the marvels of Tuscany, we came across one of the oldest and most important cities of the Renaissance - Siena. A city which, even today, still exudes the nobility of the Medici dynasty. This city - the home of the world's oldest Palio race, and which still today reverberates to the thunder of horses as proud and impetuous as the wind - is a living bastion against the march of time, with a splendid arrogance in resisting modernity and progress, but is also innovative and visionary, with a regal decadence of inescapable allure for anyone who experiences it for themselves. Then there is the countryside, with iron-rich red soil as generous as the people who live here, but as rocky and as hard as life on the craggy knife-edge of hills which can give so much but can also take everything away in a heartbeat if you lack the courage to live in complete respect of its rules. In the valley, intense scents and perfumes combine with the strong, sharp smells of a nature that is wild yet gentle, to make it clear that you are in Tuscany even if you hadn't already noticed before, while the fire burning strongly on the hillside lightens the dusk. This creation takes time to understand; it does not reveal itself easily to anyone, so take time - take as long as it takes - to comprehend its vertiginous peaks, as this is an arduous challenge for even the most expert nose. What you are experiencing is art expressed in its most complex, unique form. The composition opens with notes of juniper paired with cypress - the symbolic tree of Tuscany - accompanied by the distinctive aroma of centuries-old olive trees offset by the bark of Tuscan poplar. This complex, unique top - with wood notes normally found in the base underpinning the structure of a perfume - sits heavily and predominantly on an even more complex middle which disorients even the most experienced, expert nose, with echoes of red Indian patchouli intertwined with the mystique of frankincense and myrrh contrasting boldly against Tuscan leather. This highly complex and unique structure calls for an even more complex base with the character and strength needed to sustain such an intricate, irreverent pyramid conceived only for those with the spirit to understand it completely. The base opens with the tangy sweetness of Tuscan acacia honey, paired with the mellow strength of “magical drop Terenzi” - with its ambergris musk and …. - blended skilfully with the strength of Indian sandalwood and Cambodian Oud, for a persistence and a trail capable of lasting up until the next day. We met Andromeda for the first time, wrapped in His infinite beauty, thanks to a trail of bright, fascinating stars, while trekking on the Sibillini Mountains, located in a little-known, but charming, area of our beautiful country. We were there looking for a natural and spontaneous event that can be considered a true miracle of Mother Nature.On these silent mountains a ritual takes place every year that is almost supernatural:the flowering. Between late May and early July, the Castelluccio plateau witnesses this important event.For several weeks the chromatic monotony of the grassland is broken by a mosaic of colours, ranging from yellow ochre to red.Although the "Fiorita" (Flowered) festival falls on the third and last Sundays of June, there is no specific day on which to enjoy this enchanting show.Every year it is in the hands of the seasonal weather and you have to know how to look for it because not everyone can find our scent. The species of flowers that dye the Pian Grande (great plain) and Pian Perduto (lost plain) in this period are countless. Walking along the paths you can find: gentianellas, daffodils, violets, poppies, buttercups, daffodils, purple eugeniae, clovers, shamrocks and many more. During this walk along the paths of the Pian Perduto, in respectful silence for the lush nature surrounding you, you are intoxicated with scents and colours that fill not only the eyes but also the heart and soul. This creation is inspired by the journey by sailing boat around the Cyclades islands of the Greek archipelago and its bouquet contains all the colours and flavours of the most genuine and southernmost Mediterranean. The essence of summer, without a care in the world, and full of inebriating scents blown into the area by the “Meltemi” (typical wind of these latitudes), with its warm, sensual embrace, is magically contained in this fragrance inspired by the unspoiled, ancestral beauty of the Mediterranean. The strong aroma of coffee, made in an ancient “moka” (typical coffee-making machine) floats through the crisp morning air, penetrated by the iridescent light reflected in the sea.
